Lace up your shoes and bring your friends! The Great Adventure Youth Group is hosting its own Amazing Race on Wednesday, November 4 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the St. Joseph Catholic School gym in Rice Lake.
Running the Race With the Saints
Just days after the Solemnity of All Saints, we will celebrate the men and women who ran the race of faith before us and now cheer us on from Heaven. The Letter to the Hebrews describes them as a great cloud of witnesses and urges us to persevere in the race set before us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). The saints were not perfect people. They were ordinary people who kept running toward Christ, even when the road was hard, and that is exactly what we are called to do.
What to Expect
- Food and time with friends
- The Amazing Race, full of challenges, teamwork, and a little friendly competition
- A talk on All Saints’ Day and how the saints can help us on our own journey of faith
This is a great night to invite a friend who has never been to youth group. Everyone is welcome, and no one runs this race alone.
