The church building is not just a meeting place. It is a sacred space set apart for the worship of God, and everything within it, from the flicker of the sanctuary lamp to the colors that change with each liturgical season, tells the story of our faith and draws our hearts toward heaven.
The men and women who serve in our Church Decorating Ministries are artists and servants in the truest sense. They have a gift for seeing beauty and bringing it to life in ways that help the rest of us pray. When the sanctuary is draped in violet during Advent or bursting with white lilies at Easter, it is because of their careful, loving hands working quietly behind the scenes.
This is ministry that does not often get noticed, and that is rather the point. Like so much of what holds a parish together, it is done out of love, without fanfare, for the glory of God and the good of the people who come through our doors seeking him.
If you have a love for beauty, a feel for the liturgical seasons of the Church, or simply a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help make God’s house a more prayerful and welcoming place, we invite you to explore the ministries listed below.
